When I met Sarah and Dave over coffee to discuss their wedding plans I immediately connected with them. They’re super down to earth, completely in love and were thrilled to be getting married. They explained they were having a Quaker ceremony. I never witnessed a Quaker wedding and really knew nothing about them until Sarah explained it. It’s quite beautiful and simple, the bride and groom along with their friends, family and community members join in the meetinghouse and mainly sit in silence. Should someone have an antidote or good wish to provide someone will speak up. There is no formal ceremony, no bridal party and no photography.
Prior to their ceremony they had a private first look on their school campus where they met. It was a gorgeous fall day, the sky was a brilliant blue and both Sarah and Dave were glowing with happiness. After their first look and ceremony we traveled to New Hope, PA to the Centre Bridge Inn. Unfortunately it was already dark when we arrived otherwise we would have taken advantage of the beautiful landscape. Centre Bridge sits right along the river and and has some amazing views from their back patio. They did have some fires going out there for guests to stay warm by as they enjoyed their cocktails.
The reception was full of love, happiness and joy – proven by the dance floor being packed from the start. I truly adore Sarah & Dave and wish them a world of happiness and look forward to seeing them again in the future!
