This year I have photographed some amazing couples and some gorgeous weddings. Saturday’s Borgata Water Club wedding was one of my favorites. I love Kristen & Brian – their happiness and love is contagious. I remember smiling ear to ear and giggling with Kristen as we strolled through the streets of Old City during their engagement session last summer. They both took a lot of care planning their wedding day and Borgata’s Water Club was simply a stunning choice for venues.
We started the day early in their amazing suite as Kristen and her sister had their finishing touches done to their hair and makeup. I was able to drool over her amazing jeweled heels as I photographed them with her dress and other details. Once Kristen was dressed we went down to the outside pool for their first look. After a few portraits we hopped on their jitney and headed to Ocean City, NJ. Kristen’s father is a member of the Ocean City Fishing Club, so we had exclusive access to the fishing pier for portraits. The light was perfect- the sun was just about to dip below the horizon – I was giddy over the golden glow over the sand… watching the waves crashing at the shore… I just had to send my bride and groom back down to the beach. As I was yelling instructions from the pier, a huge wave started to come right towards Kristen – Brian scooped her up just in time to save the day!
After portraits we headed back to the Borgata for the ceremony and reception at the Water Club. The pool was covered with plexiglass for the dance floor. The room was filled with palm trees, water falls and a couple smaller pools and hot tubs that thankfully no one fell into. Before they cut the cake we snuck out to the balcony for an epic night shot in front of the Borgata hotel tower. It was one of those weddings that I could have shot all night long.
